What to put in a correction
A useful correction has four parts: the URL of the page, the exact sentence, what is wrong, and a source we can open. If the source is a help-centre article, link the article rather than quoting a paragraph from memory. If the source is a screenshot, say what it shows and when you took it.
We do not need your life story, and we will not ask for account details. Send the smallest amount of information that lets us check the claim.
What we can help with
- A factual correction, with the URL and the sentence.
- A guide that is out of date because the product changed.
- A workflow you want explained, with the task described plainly.
- Accessibility problems on this site.
What we cannot help with
- Account access. We are not OpenAI and cannot recover, unlock, or restore an account.
- Billing. Subscriptions are between you and OpenAI.
- Official support. For product issues, use help.openai.com.
- Password checks. Never send credentials to us or anyone else.
Response time
We aim to acknowledge corrections within five working days. Corrections with a source get priority. Mail that asks us to promote a product, buy a link, or publish a guest post without disclosure gets no reply.
What happens to your email
Your message goes to one inbox, read by the editorial desk. We keep it only as long as needed to answer and, where relevant, to correct the site. We do not add addresses to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share them. If you ask us to delete the thread after we have replied, we will.
Editorial independence
We do not accept payment for a mention, a link, or a review. If that ever changes on a specific page, the page will say so above the fold. Our editorial standards describe the rest of the process.
